Rep. Chip Roy introduces MAMDANI Act aimed at deporting, denaturalizing socialist-, communist-affiliated immigrants, noncitizens
U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, an Austin-based Republican, introduced new legislation today that, if passed, would allow for the deportation, denaturalization or inadmission of any immigrant or noncitizen found to be affiliated with communism, socialism or Islamic fundamentalism.
Named after New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, the MAMDANI Act would radically change U.S. immigration law. Any noncitizen found to be affiliated with a communist party, a socialist party, the Chinese Communist Party, or any Islamic fundamentalist party could have their citizenship denied, be deported, be denaturalized, or not be allowed in the U.S.
“Why do we continue to import people who hate us? Not just for the last six years, but for the last 60 years, our immigration system has been cynically used to disadvantage American workers’ competitiveness in favor of mass-importing the third world,” Roy said in a statement. “This has not just led to higher crime and lower wages, but also the promulgation of hostile ideologies fundamentally opposed to American values.”
In a statement, Roy said this legislation would allow for new tools “to fight back against the Marxist and Islamist advance that has devastated Europe and has now arrived on our doorstep.”
Additionally, the legislation states that any determinations made under the provisions of the MAMDANI Act would be final and not subject to the review of any court. That means any deportations or denaturalizations would be unable to be legally challenged.
Roy’s office reportedly provided right-wing news site Breitbart with a summary of the bill that states “the very presence of Zohran Mamdani and those like him who champion Marxist ideologies” is enabling “the mass importation of Marxists and Islamists.” [Continue reading…]
